We have Canada Geese here in NC that came in the 60s and NEVER left! They are brats, but I love them. They walk across the street and just glare you down. The local paper did a story about the ones the actually do migrate. The ones that decided to stay here weigh on average 10 pounds more than the ones who actually migrate. Even geese are fatter in the US! lol

As long as there’s open water, they’ll stick around here. Once the ponds freeze over, they’ll migrate the 100 miles to find a new one.

Little attachment to ground before the migration. Must be due to sweet kids around!
