Of course Janis is talking about the Auburn Tigers, as Jesy said above. It is JJ’s almamater, and Janis and Arlo are wearing Auburn’s colors today. Our second son is a research scientist at SEC rival, Vanderbilt, although I doubt he knows it. Unlike most of his brothers, he was never into sports. His Little League coach quipped he may be the world’s best golfer, someday.

Point Spread, good grief, I don’t do sports and I know that!

Janis and sports betting is a running gag that Jimmy J plays to perfection.

Clearly they were watching the AFL Grand Final but she has her terminology mixed up: it’s Full Forward, not Quarter Back. “Oh we’re from Tiger Land…”

Clemson, LSU or Mizzou?

According to my wife it is Footy teams (Australian Rules Football) that have the cutest uniforms. Those tight shorts and jumpers were a definite plus for her when we first starting watching here in the States in 1993. Although we were disappointed that our teams (her – Cats, me – Magpies) didn’t prevail in their semi-final games we congratulate the Richmond Tigers on being this year’s Premieres.

The prettiest uniforms? Considering her success at picking the winners, it may cause teams to consider, ‘If we want to win, we have to get pretty uniforms’.
