Most of ‘em have an awful lot of sugar and not a lot of electrolytes. Other than boosting your fluid levels before an often dreaded medical test/exam they probably aren’t really doing such a great job.
Most of the old coots I know drink Hamm’s beer when cutting wood. The trick is work for 45 minutes, take an break and drink a can. Then back to work. Stay hydrated and never get intoxicated.
Hopefully most pluggers have lived long enough to understand that drinking water is far better than most any “sports drinks”. Just one look at the list of ingredients should tell you that.
Note the high tech tool our Plugger is using to cut wood. No problems with running out of gas or dull chains. I don’t own a chain saw because the house came with a nice 4 pound axe that helped me clear the road after a big ice storm.
