Vikings had a strategy: they’d sail up to a town and if it looked strongly defended, they’d offer to trade. If it looked soft, they’d steal everything. It’s why they liked monasteries so much — very soft targets.
Realistically, Tyr should take over someone’s house so he has a place to sleep.
