Well Luann, at least he was listening to your story instead of tuning it out like some brothers might have done. Or kept interrupting with his own story like other brothers might have done.
What I don’t get about these incidents is that Frank and Nancy just sit quietly and let the kids harp at each other. Maybe the idea is to let them grow and learn to work things out like adults, but … good grief! My parents would NEVER have let my brother and I do this at the dinner table, or anywhere else for that matter. We could get away with a lot, as we were raised in a very permissive household, but something like this (particularly personal criticism of appearance or intelligence) was definitely out of bounds!
