Back in the ‘old days’, when I was in junior high and senior high, not only were girls not allowed to wear any make up at all during gym class, but if kids had rubber bands on their braces, they had to take them out during gym class. (And girls had to wear hideous baggy blue uniforms called ‘gym suits’, while boys could wear T-shirts and shorts…)
Gym in high school / junior high during the school day is beyond stupid. Basically exists only to create a “teaching” job for people who failed at their ambitions to go into professional sports. Schools should focus on programs that actually encourage exercise and healthy living.
