Another year and he will almost be up to starting wage.

Is that a raise?

My boss told me he’d like to pay me what I’m worth, but there’s a minimum wage law.

What a go-getter!

and now he gets to stand at the counter and ask if you’d like to supersize that.

Sad but true….pathetic AMERICAN ideals….all values are off the table

Must be a union job.

Ahhhh, minimum wage. Your boss’s way of telling you he would pay you less, if only he legally could.

He must be real special…

In Illinois it will morph over the next few year into $15 and hour…more than I can get paid as a substitute teacher with 2 degrees…sigh

Wonder how many other employees they had to lay off first?

He probably owns the company and it’s just starting to make a profit. In a couple of years, he may get a day off.
