The ultimate Thanksgiving song: “Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother’s house we go. The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh through the white and DRIFTING SNOW, OH!” —So that seems to give the backdrop image of snow BEFORE, or at least ON Thanksgiving. Only in recent decades, it’s been much too warm for this. But I DO remember snow sometimes in November (northeast vicinity) as a child.
If I don’t have to drive and my Plow Guy shows up I’m OK.
One year we visited relatives for Thanksgiving. We decided to leave on Saturday to beat the traffic. We did not beat the snow, though. The driving was slow and there was quite a bit of traffic. With several inches of snow on the highway traffic progressed in two lanes on a three lane highway. We had to make several more stops than normal during the trip to let my left leg recover from the cramping of operating the clutch so much. So our normally 4.5 to 5 hour trip ended up being 9 to 10 hours. Probably should have waited a day. ;-)

I liked snow a lot more when I was a kid. Snow would still be fine if I didn’t have to drive in it!

I would fall in the pro snow somewhere else category.

I’m with the kid. Right now we have a dusting that is useless for winter sports, but makes summer sports difficult.

I like snow whenever it comes. It brings a stop to the bugs of summer and covers everything with a soft blanket of beauty.

I’m against early snow, but this year we got far too much of it when November had barely started.

Doesn’t matter when it is… idiots will forget how to drive in it.

How about a 3" storm the day before Halloween? That was great.
