I’m more worried about the scorched earth policies from Trump and the GOP.

Only a year to complete Trump’s impeachment, conviction, and disqualification! (Hey, I can dream, can’t I?)

As I’ve said several times there should be a law stating Presidential elections can not start until a year before election day.

It takes time for our candidates to have their minds pickled by their campaigns. It probably would have been good if the Weasel in the White House would have had his mind pickled, but alas there was no mind to pickle.

Damn good question. For the 2020 election the Dems started campaigning far far to early IMPO. Like almost 2 years ahead. I simply do not care and will n ot start to care for at least 6 more months. We should damn well shorten the primary season and all the electioneering, but we won’t. Congresspersons spend about 1/2 or more time raising $$$$. Cold calling people for their support. I once almost had a job cold calling people. I quit as soon as I learned what the job entailed.

Not only that, but our elections no longer resolve any disputes, nor produce any compromises, policies, or meaningful results. They just set the stage for the next bitter election ad infinitum.

No! The election is in two days! It’s important to vote EVERY year.

Couldn’t agree more, @Sansparell. An election or two ago the Brits were freaking out because a quirk of the calendar made that election six weeks long instead of five. I would love it if the election were, say, ten weeks long.

Limited time to campaign, novel concept! Kind of like term limits and campaign spending reform…Guess one can dream
