I used to be one of those contributors, until they aired a show that “proved” the Pentateuch (1st 5 books of the Bible) is entirely mythical; and followed it with a documentary that claimed all the Japanese suicides in WWII were the fault of the Americans. They answered my letter of complaint with a list of the directors’ many accomplishments.
On Friday Nights, Marty Robins on WTTW would come on and day, “And now, WTTW Chicago is less than proud to present a film with no redeeming qualities.”

I always shout at the screen “There ARE no viewers like me!!!” Even while watching PBS sometimes.
