Well, the good news Michael got the letter back. The bad news, Michael got the letter back. (What is the average cost of mailing a letter in Canada from one side of town to another?)
I sent a bulky envelope with the right postage by weight. But it got sent back because it costs extra if it is too thick. But somehow this was not big enough a problem to send it back to me!!! USPS.
I think it would had been funnier had Mike’s sister just add the extra postage to the letter, mailed it and told Mike later on in the day that she mailed the letter again.
What probably happened was the stamp came off. I used to have that trouble often enough I was tempted to write under the stamp “there was a stamp here until you lost it.”
It use to be that the PO would still deliver the letter as postage due, but after so many people refused to pay they now just send the letter back as insufficient postage.

If we didn’t know that Michael understood almost nothing about the mail system when he was talking to the mailman last week, there is no doubt today.

This is the classic finale for this type of storyline. Bravo!

Doesn’t he leave the letter out and mom sees the insufficient postage and mails it out again?

He should have sent it to himself with using Martha’s return address.

If there was no return address they would put a note in your mailbox telling you how much change to give them (while they held your mail hostage).

Burn it dude. Say the words. It means more and/or it is easier to deny when it goes south.

Thus the title of this story arc, “Lady and the Stamp.”

What a let down. Quite a lame ending, I thought, to a gripping start
