Not even a monsoon can stop Jack’s most (un)trustworthy patron.

Now THAT’S determination … or desperation! But who else did Andy think would be there who would buy his beer for him? Certainly not Jack … and we know Andy certainly isn’t going to buy his own!

Well, no paying customers.

He’s used to getting wet anyway…

Andy will have ’is drink, come ’ell or ’igh water!

the situation made me think of the title of an Italian book: “the bar under the sea”

Of course!

No pub can close just because of that awful weather they always open even when there’s a monsoon about. people always went there to shelter and have drinks while waiting for the rain to stop.

The only weather the pub can close is the deep snow where towns, villages and cities are blocked.

no one else there Andy, who will buy your beer?

Many of you seem to forget that Andy doesn’t just rely on the kindness(?) of other patrons, he also regularly raids Flo`s purse. A seasoned veteran like Andy would have assessed the situation beforehand and taken preemptive precautions. He’s no rookie, why do you think he has a wet-suit in reserve?

Well, he’ll probably pay for his drinks with an I.O.U. anyway. So out with him and close.

And his ready for the canal on the way back.

Still no customers. No paying ones, that is.

I seem to recall that in the days of my misspent youth, on more than one occasion, braving blizzards and hurricanes and slogging to my local bar for liquid sustenance to ward against the inclement weather.

The canal must be overflowing.

Way to go Andy!

I’ll take rain over wind any day.
