As soon as I saw the first panel, I thought: oh my god, whoever it was that guessed that today’s comic was the leaf one with chad was exactly right. Then I thought, what if that person was Mr. Pierce in disguise? This whole week has been extremely weird lol. (In the Big Nate strip, not irl.)

Unrelated to today’s strip, but I was re-reading some of the strips from the ‘90s and thought, “If Nate’s 11 in 2019, he wouldn’t even be alive in the ‘90s now.” Heck, in a few years he’ll never have been alive during the 2000s within the context of the strip.
