As readers, we need to remember that this is Bea’s strip and the story will unfold at the proper time, no sooner or later. I’m waiting patiently. I really enjoy this comic strip. It’s in my top ten.
BTW, Ms. Bea, I saw the artwork on Pinterest where Ellie (with Hubbs standing beside her) is reaming out Sedine, something I have expected for some time and which I take as a hopeful sign for this story arc. Of course, Hubbs was also sweating, much like Sam frequently does. I’m wondering if he was getting ripped a new one as well… or if he’s never seen this side of Ellie before.
I’m beginning to think the thought I had of this being a red herring might actually be true. When it is finally resolved it will be because Hubbs and Ellie went to whatever championship playoffs to watch the game together. However Ellie sneaks off leaving Hubbs wondering where Al is when his attention is nabbed by the enthusiastic screams of the other fans. Seeing a streaking figure dash across the field he snaps his gaze up to the humongoenormogigantoveiwatron to see a naked Ellie easily outdistancing both the referees and security guards. Finding a camera close by she stops and holds up a sign that reads “Marry me you studly doofus!” but she’s apprehended before she can let Hank know she can call out his name. Thinking she’s asking Al to marry her Hank picks her up from jail and drives them both home in sullen silence.

If Bea doesn’t resolve this Ellie charade real soon, I’m done with this comic. It’s time.

Can Hubbs really stay friends with a guy who was trying to assault him?

Penalties on Bea for “delay of the game” and “unnecessary roughness” to her readership’s psyches.

I’m hoping for a “spearing” penalty soon.

…it’s ironic – don’t you think – that the only thing that sated Ellie’s hunger was a dining utensil helmet?….

I really wasn’t expecting he used the helmet, but well.

Don’t that is going to stop this Hubbs. The floodgates are open and the only thing to do is ride the current.

Did not see that move coming. Now, what are the chances that the wig will come off with the helmet?

Careful, Hubbs… I see claws at the end of those hands.

The helmet goes on. Will the pants come off?
