Isn’t it amazing that with all of the world’s population and only 365 days with an extra day every four years we are amazed when we learn someone shares the same birthday.

I’m 72 years old, have met innumerable people and only once have I met someone born on the same day and year.

The old “Birthday Paradox”: In a room of just 23 people there’s a 50-50 chance of at least two people having the same birthday. In a room of 75 there’s a 99.9% chance of at least two people matching.

Well, this was unexpected

Does anyone use their correct birthday for their social media accounts?

Met two twins born on Nov 1 like me. All three of us born on a Sunday. When I said something about All Hallow’s Eve being the celebration of All Saints Day and we three were born on Sunday, somebody proclaimed as they looked at me, “Well Two out of three ain’t bad!”

I have a handful of celebrities born on my same birthday, but not my exact year. (Nancy Reagan, Sly Stalone, Kevin Hart, George Bush, I think Della Reese…)

A friend of mine started dating a girl when he was in college (now married for 43 years) and I started dating her friend who was planning a surprise party for her. My girlfriend wanted to be sure I would be off work that day and when she told me the date it was the same as my birthday. Later found out she was born in the same hospital as me about 4 hours after me.

Tons of my cousins have the same month as me for their birthday.

It may be unusual but it happens. My wife and I shared the same birthday one year apart. Drove our kids nuts.

I’ve met people born on the same day, but never the same year.

I’ve never seen a spouse send a full size birthday cake to somebody at work.

Mine was last month…or us it eleven months from now????

So confusing!!

I have about 45 close relatives: siblings and their spouses and children. Three of those 45 have the same birthday and they have very different personalities.

At one point in my life, I knew eleven people who shared the same birthday, different years. All of us were very unique but typical of our sign. One year I did meet an astrological twin. We talked for a while and though the events in our lives were not the same, we experienced some of them the same way. It was really trippy!!

I don’t know anyone who shares my BD who is alive. Not that I ask…

I had a surgeon with same birth date including the year. Was kind of strange

I went nearly all the way through school with a boy who was born a couple hours after me.(Now that I’m an adult, it’s not so much fun being the older one!)
