I would actually prefer to see all federal seats filled without allowing any donations other than by individual people, and preventing advertisements “on behalf”; and providing “legit” (whatever THAT means) candidates each with the same amount of free air time… But the Supremes have ruled that free speech trumps all the problems that arise from unregulated advertising by any person or any corporation. And I do see that point too. Interesting times.
During Vietnam, some folks withheld the percentage that would go to the military, in protest. But doubtless a Trump Campaign Deduction would pale compared to the amt of public money that funds his golf trips, family boondoggles and such.
And that is why the super rich got a tax reduction. They’re already paying huge amounts into his campaign through personal and “corporate” contributions.
