The “new car smell” can be bought as an air-refreshener in most roadside stops. It’s a hoax even when it is a genuine new car. The carefully designed scent is added in the production process deliberately. Even if a real leather-and-wood interior seems to be the source some perfume designer put together animals gland scent with sandalwood and rosewood fragrances.

Even a wet dog smells better than no dog at all.

A drought can be broken by me washing my car!

Ahh! The smell of a hound.

New cars should come with a free towel.

It’s better than most of those tear gas concoctions know as perfume or cologne.

I’d be more furm, no wet dogs in the car.

Maybe you shouldn’t have got the convertible.

Why does my car smell like a bear…. Oh wait.

Wet dog smell just shows that the car is owned.

My Suburu has been totally trashed by my Lab Carmy. There is enough hair woven permanently into the fabric that it could make a couple of other hairless dogs, covered in black hair. It is disgusting but like a Suburu, it runs perfectly. It is grimy , dirt splattered, saliva stained and now designated as “the dogmobile.”

I think they’’re getting away from those materials (whatever they were). Our new car does NOT have the new car smell. Not a bad smell, just mostly neutral. But it sure beats wet dog!

Don’t like that new car smell, smells like harmful chemicals to me. Much prefer the wet dog smell.
