Connie has a good point. I had 2 1/2 years between my children and I was amazed at how much the baby technology had changed in even that short a period of time. It’s been almost a decade since Elly had her last child. I think she will be dumbfounded over all the new stuff. Plus as the wife of a wealthy dentist, she will be able to afford it. I look forward to a giant shopping spree where we get to see all the latest baby stuff from 1991.
the only way men would give birth is if they went ounder a sex reassignment surgery (and that they were previously women wanting to keep their wombs and and all that)
No, but the husband no longer has to wait outside. Now you get to hold his hand…..and twist his arm off during the contractions if you wish for putting you in that situation in the first place. ;-)
Its part of the curse, thanks to Eve! My question is: why do women choose to have ‘both’ curses? It is man’s curse to work; it is women’s curse for painful childbirth, etc. Why do women choose to have children and then go to work? You don’t see us men wanting both curses!!!
Modern DNA genotyping has shown through mitochondrial DNA analysis (which is only passed through the mother) that between 170,000 to 100,000 years ago everyone alive today had a common ancestral mother who lived in south-central Africa. She is often referred to as Mitochondrial Eve.
During the birth of my first son, which my wife did naturally, she turned to me in the middle of a contraction and said “This is all your fault!” Being young and stupid, my reply was “You seemed to think it was a good idea at the time.” As you can see I survived, but only just.
It is the unusual aspect of being a woman where even though pregnancy involves pain and suffering you still love being pregnant and remember that time with a great deal of fondness. Why would you want to trade that experience with a man?
Actually I believe there is one man who did give birth, by c-section of course. When men can give birth, they can have as many babies as they want….I’m just not doing it.

If men had been assigned giving birth, there’d be no human race.

Too bad men can’t experience the pain of birth, menstruation, and menopause, they have it too easy.

Well, I did see this recent news article, but I’d probably cause a (virtual) riot if I mentioned the details.

I suppose it is a good thing that kids don’t remember birth. Mom gets to tell them all about it.

I’m not into kids (or extreme pain). Women should have been born with “zippers”. Get pregnant, wait 9 months, unzip and take out the kid. LOL.

If so, mankind would become extinct for sure!

Isn’t childbirth pain similar to passing kidney stones? Some men got through that. #MenCouldDoItToo. ;^)

There is a way, though the birth is always Cesarean section. The pelvis is too small.

Carol Burnett said it best when asked about how childbirth feels, “Giving birth is like taking your lower lip and forcing it over your head”.
