Unfortunately there are so many abandoned animals and people need to adopt them…mutts are the best pets and kitties who have been left at the door of the humane society need a home. Especially now in the winter…..
My former next door neighbor and best friend is in the running for her collection of cats. Started with one about 6-8 years ago and now has 4. She was asked by another neighbor to take hers so that one may be added soon. The problem is they live in an already crowded apartment. Believe me she wouldn’t have it any other way.
All shelters need volunteers to come in and socialize with the dogs and cats. Homeless housepets need human interaction while they are waiting for their new homes. This could be petting, playing with, brushing, walking, or just hanging out with these lovely dogs and cats. The staff are spread far too thin just to take time with the animals.
In most states, I believe, minors need to come with a parent or guardian. Contact your local shelter to see what you can do to help.

Petting is nice but sit down and read them a story, or sit and have a conversation with them.

Yes! They will have a hard time going away without adopting at least one! But maybe not Kenny. He’s mine!

That would be me.
I don’t think that Sweetheart would accept another dog.
I’m shocked that she let Kiki move in.
