Character with Camera: Coach, I'd like to talk to you about my daughter Dawn. Coach Tippit: Dawn has improved a lot. She's getting a lot more playing time lately. Character with Camera: It's not the playing time, coach. It's the photo ops. I've video-taped every minute of her playing time this season and haven't once caught her taking a shot on goal. Coach Tippit: Dawn is a defender -she's not supposed to score. Her job is to prevent the other team from taking shots on goal. Character with Camera: Right, and what I'm talking about is tweaking that job description just a tad..until I can get the footage I need.

Jerry may be a tight billed snob who likes to show off his fancy-schmancy do-dads and money, but he wants to cherish and immortalize every moment that his little Dawn has, which includes getting the perfect footage of her playing defense, regardless of how minor the details are.

Hey, Dad, I think you should first see if you can get Dawn enrolled in Actors’ Equity. Oh, and then figure out how you’re going to pay her scale.

“You know, we’re looking for an assistant coach. You seem to have a lot of free time!”

My daughter was a defender. She scored 2 goals in her career. One in high school from the half way line with a huge tailwind, over the head of the opposing school’s goal keeper. The other in college in the conference championship game. It was an own goal she deflected.
