The talent show at the 1980 Lutheran Student Movement conference in Calgary (I think – my first was in 1981) was couched as the NB Syndrome Telethon. Many conference participants had numb buns from travelling by bus from the southern U.S.
Of course, if I were of the ilk to pick nits, I would point out that Caulfield’s “TB” isn’t a communicable disease to start with, so Ms. O is way off course.
But since I’m not of that ilk, I will not mention it.
I had a joke all lined up that was less juvenile, but I thought, you know, I haven’t done a toboggan joke in a while, and once you make a decision like that, well, it’s a slippery slope.

It is either Center for Disease Control, or Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is not Centers for Disease Control

It use to be a pretty common word for the road conditions in the winter especially out in rural areas. Gravel road are quite prone to it.
