Sadly enough real abuse is usually well hidden by the abusers. They do offer courses in how to spot it for those who work in childcare, and I am certain others can take a course, or read up on it (but only from a reliable source, not a ‘Karen’) should you be interested.

Our lady in green may be in one of those professions where members are required by law to report child abuse. After the Penn State scandal a few years back, some states created criminal penalties for professionals (doctors, nurses, lawyers. teachers, clergy, etc.) who see and fail to report evidence of abuse.
