With a little slight-of-pen one can make a palindrome of any length. Like:

And the most famous: Napoleon’s cry, “Able was I ere I saw Elba.”

And of course, Adam’s self-introduction to Eve: “Madam, I’m Adam.”

A man, a plan, a canoe, pasta, heros, rajahs, a coloratura, maps, snipe, percale, macaroni, a gag, a banana bag, a tan, a tag, a banana bag again (or a camel), a crepe, pins, Spam, a rut, a Rolo, cash, a jar, sore hats, a peon, a canal—Panama!

C: I understand this IS Bolton.

O: (still with the fake mustache) Yes?

C: (pause) A PUN?!?

C: (Long pause) A palindrome…?

O: Yeah, that’s it!

C: It’s not a palindrome! The palindrome of “Bolton” would be “Notlob”!! It don’t work!!

O: Well, what do you want?

C: I’m not prepared to pursue my line of inquiry any longer as I think this is getting too silly!
