On my parents’ 50th anniversary, I danced with my father to “My Heart Will Go On”. I sang while we danced. It was the first time I sang to my father…and the first time I danced with him.
Will so e o e please tell Celine Dion the boat sank, Let It Go, ohbthats something else entirely. Oh, and I have a Klee ed attached to this comic, anyone else
I saw it years ago at the theater. Besides the Rose/Jack storyline, the actual sinking of the ship got to me. I’ve always been fascinated by the story of Titanic but never really thought about what the people went through until I saw the movie. The next day Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On came on the radio and I just started bawling as I thought of all those who died such a horrible death.
We have had many tragedies through history, but the Titanic is one of those that people just won’t forget. Death, survival, hubris, wealth, and poverty all in a nice tidy bundle of memory.
This….song…..just goes on and on….but it never gets….anywheeeeeeeeere…….Once…..more…..the same as before….(and later)WATCH…..ME…..I’M CHA-YANGING THE KEY!!!!!!!
I have the four hour documentary pair “Titanic, Death of a Dream” and “The Legend Lives On” on DVD. Much better than any of the three movie versions. I think it’s time to watch them again…
I always saw that movie as the incredible story of two completely self-absorbed, romantic jerks — as self-absorbed and vacuous in their way as the rich people that the director spent so much time trashing.

To paraphrase Leonard McCoy, M.D.: “Dang it, Jim [Horner]!” You got Andy hooked on your music!

Jack didn’t have to freeze to death (I mean, he did, for plot stuff I guess). That door was big enough! Even Myth Busters proved it (I think).
