I can relate!

Sometimes when I’m having a near-fatal day at work, I’ll say to someone “I have to go home. I forgot something.” When asked what, I say “I forgot to stay there.”

I am that way at work – I just don’t want to do it. It is not hard, it is not on a deadline (which is part of it). I am not micromanaged (probably part of it as well). It is in fact, something I usually like to do. And enjoy doing, once I get into it. I am, however, getting close to retirement (after 26 years in essentially the same place). Which is probably a LARGE part of it!!! GoComics, email, and YouTube are also suspects in my lack of work motivation. LOL

That’s how I handled homework, I didn’t do it unless I though it would cause me to fail the class. I graduated with a 3.2 GPA…

That nobody can help with.

Ah, yes… the age-old problem.

Now this speaks to me on a deeply visceral level. Even in adulthood it has not changed. It now applies to work and dieting.
