Comics like this are not funny. I’ve just read the memoirs of the prison warder who was in charge of the political prisoners on Robin Island. Those men did hard labour in the lime quarry which damaged their lungs and burnt their eyes. Some of the warders were really brutal. It’s important to remember that the prisoners were much better educated than the warders. :(
I work a job where I can get up and walk around, even if briefly. I would never want to work in a call center. Those poor people not only have to deal with irate customers, they can’t get more than three feet away from their desks and at this time of year, probably never see the light of day.
Could be an illustration for the German “Schreibtischtäter” (Not a translation: the German idiom for someone planning or executing administrative tasks at his desk – ignoring any immoral or unethical implications – without interacting with the victims.)
To all my former students who complained that school was like a prison – how do you feel now that you are in the work world? Still look back on that time with disdain?

After hauling that around all day, I really don’t want to know what’s in his drawers (actually, I don’t want to know, anyway!)!
