Check and mate.

I write about a dozen checks per year: 10 to taxing agencies and one or two or maybe three others. For most transactions I use a credit card (it’s safer than a debit card) or I have my bank send a check directly.

I write checks to my nieces & nephews for their birthdays & Christmas.

A victory is a victory.

i only use my debit card as credit…more secure.

I use Apple Pay wherever I can. Even more secure.

I still pay most bills by check. Or I used to, now I just let them accumulate.

This year, you are supposed to write the full year on the check, rather than the last two digits, as it makes it more difficult to have someone pre or post date the check.

A comic strip about writing checks? I’d brace myself for the “OK, Boomer” onslaught, except what could be more Boomer already than reading a blog on Facebook? Oh, yeah: reading the comics. Fine, then. In that regard, at least, I’m proud to be a Boomer.

I generally write 2 checks a month.
