I write about a dozen checks per year: 10 to taxing agencies and one or two or maybe three others. For most transactions I use a credit card (it’s safer than a debit card) or I have my bank send a check directly.
This year, you are supposed to write the full year on the check, rather than the last two digits, as it makes it more difficult to have someone pre or post date the check.
A comic strip about writing checks? I’d brace myself for the “OK, Boomer” onslaught, except what could be more Boomer already than reading a blog on Facebook? Oh, yeah: reading the comics. Fine, then. In that regard, at least, I’m proud to be a Boomer.
So glad he didn’t say PIN number. “I needed to get some cash money from the ATM machine, but I forgot my PIN number.” This message brought to you from the Department of Repititious Redundancy Department.

I still pay most bills by check. Or I used to, now I just let them accumulate.
