Dave named the bird correctly in this cartoon. My husband Bob is always looking for the perfect parking spot. There was the time we went into a rest stop towing a travel trailer and he kept passing up space after space looking for “the one.” Got to the end of the row and there were no more. So, it was on down the interstate to the next one. Told him he’d just have to hold it since he couldn’t find the perfect spot. Needless to say, he picked the very first one at the next rest stop.

Have you read Edward T. Hall’s The Silent Language ? It explains why Bob’s having such difficulty, among other things.

I wonder if he asked for directions on how to get there.

I was watching pigeons land in a tree. They have no clue about parking pretty. If they had lights, they’d all be smashed in two days.

It’s tougher when you are trying to back in.

Bob’s just trying to find a three-spot since birds of a feather park together.

I am not one of those people who circle the parking lot for hours looking for the closet space. If it’s within walking distance, I’ll take it.
I love to watch people at the gym do this.

At least Bob doesn’t have to worry about Junior demanding to stop because he “has to go”.

A few years ago, the geese and ducks on our local river kept to their respective groups. Now they mingle freely. There seems to be a lesson there.

Some people are too cheap to park next to a meter so they will walk a few miles.
