Finally, that song makes sense!

I had to scroll down to see the words, so I got an extra zing from the cartoon. Very nice!

The story was an allegory: the Tin Man was Industry – which doesn’t have a heart; the Scarecrow was Farmers – who don’t have brains (but we’re thankful they do that job anyway); The Cowardly Lion was Politicians – who don’t have the courage to do the right thing… etc. etc. …and the Emerald City only appeared that way because the residents were forced to wear emerald colored glasses.

Wait til you see what they give to Sir Galahad – an entire Caribbean island!

I’ll just put this in the fridge with the fava beans.
