Red, you threw away a good stick. Since you don’t want it, I’ll take it.

The same with my Jenny. When she gets that stick, she’s not giving it back.

That’s my Kili and his favorite old battered glove… nothing he loves more then a spirited game of “It’s mine, and you can’t have it”!

“Finders keepers, losers weepers.” Gosh, I haven’t heard that in a long time. Do kids still say that? Does anyone??

That’s what my dog used to say – you threw it, I got it, I can’t throw, come and get it fat boy.

Some days the dog don’t play. Or he’s tired of the same game. Even retrievers go off their game at times.

Dogs love the chase, not so much the return.

My Lab does that on occasion – just lies down after he gets the ball I’ve thrown and gives me that look of; “If you want it so bad, why don’t you come here and get it?”

Some retrievers just don’t like to bring it back or if they do, are reluctant to give it up! Good thing ours is a house pet!
