I don’t see why it has to be either, they both seem to be equally formulaic and tedious. The first 3 Star Wars films were quite good (when I was a teenager), but the only Star Trek film I have seen was utter cr*p.
Yes! to Doctor WHO, Fireball XL-5, B-5. Farscape was interesting however the “little Muppet-King who excreted Helium” was a tad weird, Space 1999….. yeah. Oh, Don’t forget ‘The OUTER LIMITS’.

Unfortunately, I am a geek, and I might be Star Wars for life, but I have no objection to Star Trek.
Can someone enlighten me on the debate?
(Mainly because I have a fantasy graphic novel in print and am currently writing a sci-fi one, and I want to know what my readers will expect.)
