When I was in high school, āTo Dream the Impossible Dreamā was popular. I thought up a music video involving Charlie Brown attempting to fly his kite.
Iām trying to imagine CB flying one of those āFighting Kitesā, which have 4 strings attached to two control handles, one held in each hand. They are capable of doing aerobatic maneuvers (in the hands of an experienced flyer). Even the mundane ābox kiteā would provide more stability than the design CB seems to prefer ā¦
Question of the Day: In the last panel, was Lucy being her usual snarky, insensitive self, or was she trying to put a more positive spin on a bad situation? I canāt wait to see what kind of responses this getsā¦
As a kid we spent our summers at the beach. The evening always featured a strong onshore wind. Perfect for flying kites. I have no idea why it could fascinate me for at least an hour day after day. Back in those days, kites werenāt fancy and didnāt do anything; they just sort of hovered in the breeze.
I donāt know, maybe I was into Zen in those days.
I hate it when there is just enough wind to fly a kite and all of a sudden the wind dies. Almost as bad as too much wind where the kite only wants to do loops when youāve run out of string.
