As a sophomore in high school, I started taking drafting, and learned to write in pencil, and all caps. At about the same time, I had a History teacher/football coach that looked at my (sorry excuse for) cursive writing and told me to print everything for his class. Needless to say, my English teachers were NOT pleased. I was constantly getting 10 point deductions on penmanship.
