Poor Ben. Let her get up early, and then roll when you can have the entire bed – ah the luxury. Or convince her it is snuggle time.

Eyeglasses on as the feet hit the floor. I don’t miss that at all. :-D

Why on earth does Ben have to get up at a certain time on a Saturday? During the week, he probably has doctor’s appointments or something scheduled but on a weekend, he should have the joy of sleeping later. His wife should enjoy this early time to be alone.

My husband learned very early on in our marriage that waking me up on a Saturday morning was hazardous to his health! He is a morning person and always has been. I have always been a night owl. Oh, I tried to become a morning person – always took 8:00 classes in college and have always had jobs where I needed to be at work between 7 and 8. I still can’t fall asleep until 2 am no matter how early I get up in the morning or go to bed at night. Now that I am retired, he knows to just let me sleep in.

Hello Liv you’re retired you wanna get up get up….let Ben sleep. Retired means you can get up whenever you want too….unless you have a doctor’s appt or even better a dentist….I love the dentist…..I hate doctors….

Hubby and I are both retired (15+/- years each). He liked to be at work before 7:30 am (could get more done without co-workers’ interruptions) but as a country/farm child, I was the one who woke up earliest. I still wake up between 5:30 and 6 am; he wants to be called by 8 am – it allows one to do more in the lovely daylight.

In the real world she will out live him, one day he won’t respond.

What Liv said in panel 4, is what I’ve been saying since 12-2-16 when I was forced into retirement.

Gradually we have slid back so the day begins between 1 and 2 pm and ends around 3 to 4 am. (Right now 2:0 am and husband will be down by 3 am for late night snack aka breakfast before we go to bed. My problem is that the days run together and not only do I often not know what time it is, I often am not sure what day it is – without my day of the week pill boxes I would be in real trouble.
