He panicked and left when marge didn’t know what a donut is. But then when he was gone it started raining donuts
There’s also the strip where Garfield found himself caught in the rain, before it switched to snow, then hail, before it suddenly started raining marshmallows, ice cream cones, hamburgers, and donuts, before the last panel had Garfield in bed saying, “That dream ended better than it started.”
