Must be a new record.
A new digging method! Who needs shovels now?
Save the “I’m free” thing for when you graduate, Calvin. ( Oops! Sorry. I meant “If”)
He’ll be ‘free’ only when he’s released from the State hospital!!
The start of the best Rosalynn story!
Unfounded fears, Calvin. Unfounded fears.
Yup Calvin – a house with ANY feline is ne’er home.
“A house with a tiger never is a home.”
Yer out!!!
The 3rd panel is epic! Calvin’s expression is priceless!
One of these days Calvin will learn to use the back door.
I love Hobbes. There. I said it.
I remember exactly two of these “Hobbes greeting Calvin” strips where Calvin gets the better of Hobbes, and in one of those it was very temporary.
SPOILER:
Rosalyn is around the corner……
Well, you have yourself to blame. They offered you a sweet little bunny or a cuddly teddy bear, but no…..
“Look how far we landed” Ha. Sounds like me on a winter sidewalk. Of course my ’I’ve fallen and I can’t get up’ days are swiftly approaching so maybe not so ha.
Don’t you just love coming home after a long day at school Calvin? Just nod if you agree.
Ok, now let’s see them explain the divot in the front yard.
So…if it’s all in Calvin’s mind; how does he explain the trench in the front yard to his Dad? He dug it himself?
I guess saying “Home sweet home” is NOT a safer alternative to the usual “I’M HOME!” when coming home from school…
Mom to Calvin: “Young man, just how you did tear up the yard that quickly? And don’t tell me Hobbes pounced on you.”
On the contrary, a home is just not a home without a loving tiger to give you a big full-bodied hug when you get home.
Hobbes did NOT practice social distancing.
Calvin needs to learn to feint right, then move left, and vice-versa.
You’re wrong, Calvin. A house without one is never a home.
I love these welcome home strips..
C&H’s pouncing antics never cease to amuse us C&H readers.
And some people think that Hobbes is a stuffed tiger – nuts.
The childish charm of coming from school to home with mother making welcoming cookies is priceless.
