Must be washing some tennis-shoes. But I couldn’t sleep in that racket though. Then again, it’s February, and it’s cold, and that dryer puts out a lot heat. So I will have to lay back and think about it.
My hubby lived by himself for many years so he knew how to cook, clean, do laundry….the whole kit and caboodle. However, I was used to cleaning (as had a German mom who was meticulous and gave that gene to me. My sister and brother did NOT get it. In fact many times when we were out people thought we were sisters and not mom and daughter.
I used to do the laundry at night and then after husband went to work in the morning I would fold the laundry in bed. Now he is home all the time. I have started folding the laundry in bed while he is going to sleep (I take longer to fall asleep.) Problem is he keeps shifting in the bed in his sleep and knocking over the piles of underwear and socks or the next night, the piles of towels and bed linens.

and if his dryer is like ours, he has that buzzer when it’s done to wake him up!

My husband made the mistake of criticizing how I do laundry when we first married. I haven’t folded laundry since. Married 25 years and counting.

Yes, don’t judge the process, the results are what matter here

In college, I’d grab a my clothes , a mystery collection and my pipe and wait in the dorm’s small laundry room while doing laundry.

Mom used to warn us about the noise, “I’m putting Tentoes’ overalls in the drier!”

If it works, it works. The machines I use are super silent.

I was wondering if the “thump, thump” was the washer or his rock music.
