When I was a kid my most prized collection was a full set of hardback Nancy Drew books. Wish I still had them.

In any group of old people, almost none of them are smoking anymore. They all watched the previous generation die of lung diseases 40 years ago and the ones that didn’t get the message have died, too. They all do have a beer fridge and cocktail mixing set.

I didn’t need to see this. She was such a wholesome girl. I guess all the fame and fortune from book and movies brought her down. Well, let’s see if she can solve one last case.

I am sorry to see that recruitment of the young to smoke is successful. Not just engineering the tobacco plant to produce more potent nicotine, we have each cigarette stuffed with 400 deadly toxic chemicals that keep it lit. Those additives should be illegal. The; smokers might live longer. They sure live longer in France.

I think all U.S. comics are nonsmoking now. Broom-Hilda gave up her cigars decades ago. (Popeye still has a pipe, but I think he doesn’t light it anymore.)

According to the original timeline, Drew was born in 1914. She’d be 106 years old now.
