Somehow, I’m not convinced Sluggo2020 is lying.

Hey Sluggo, pass that book on to Nancy when you’re through!!

In the late 1960s there was a series of small books called “The Bluffer’s Guide to [fill ln the blank].” The promise was that you could fake your way through a conversation about art or football or whatever by reading the appropriate guide.

One claim, and I suspect that this is still true, was that if you read one book on any subject you’ll almost always know more about that subject than 99% of the other people in the room.

I doubt that I am the ONLY person who put that title into a search engine to see if that’s a REAL book!!

Sluggo needs to read that book before Nancy’s next loyalty interrogation (today’s Nancy Classics.)

That librarian spotted Sluggo as a B.S. artist from a mile away. And very convenient that she had that book ready for him.

For shame…. the librarian is trying to get Sluggo into gambling and poker playing! :)

Her next recommendation is “How To Lie With Statistics” (a real book. I have a copy and it is one of my favorites.)

Anyone who is smart and educated enough can see through it depending on how good they really are at it.
