Weight? There is no weight on driving licenses. Just height. Maybe there used to be…??? I don’t remember there ever being so and I’ve been driving for almost 50 years.

Years ago I went to the gate to report a military vehicle that was broke down on the side of the road without a guard. I had my daughters with me (they were 10 & 12 I think). I had already given the MP my military I.D. He was filling out the form and when he got to the weight he stopped and asked me for my weight. It was still showing me weight from before my thyroid had stopped working & I’d put on quite a bit of weight. I said it’s on the card. He starts to blush and says, "No ’mam I need your real weight. I jokingly head-slapped him like Gibbs does on NCIS. The MP was just a PFC. The sergeant laughed his ass off & said, “Kid, you should know better. Never ask a woman her weight”. I sent the girls outside & gave him something that was higher, but still way off. The sarge & I had a good laugh.

Yesterday on Ripley’s there was a discussion about Erik Weisz’s 1918 draft card. On the back of the form it had check boxes: Tall, Medium, Short and Slim, Medium, Stout.
