I suspect they do not have smoke detectors in the warehouse. I guess that is good for Annie’s cooking, but it makes me nervous for them all.

Give her a break, she’s nine! Most nine year olds can’t cook…. well I could, but that’s a different story.

Ok here’s the story… my mother wasn’t a bad cook, just an indifferent one. Broiled meat, boiled potatoes and whatever frozen veg fell out of the freezer when she opened the door.

I asked if I could fix dinner Friday and Saturday and she said sure and I’ll clean up. So I got out a cookbook and went at it. My dad got casseroles for the first time ever.

Turns out he loved tuna and noodles and Mac n cheese etc!

Well, if you boys would stop arguing, Annie could pay closer attention to her cooking and maybe she wouldn’t burn your dinner.

National Pistachio Day

National Tell a Fairy Tale Day. We have a guy at work who is good at this. Not actual fairy tales like “The Three Little pigs” but his own fairy tales. He makes up so many stories you’re better off not believing anything he says. He’s only kidding and he eventually ‘fesses up and tells you he’s only kidding. He just likes getting reactions from people who fall for his stories.

Annie, better check the source of that smoke, quick!

Until now, I always assumed that the cats complaining about Annie’s cooking was just them being mean. But now I’m starting to think she really is a bad cook.

That is a lot of smoke for a kitty supper!

Uh oh, better get the fire extinguisher! To be fair, supper probably wouldn’t have burned if Annie hadn’t been distracted by Jack and Chesney’s little dispute. On another note, saw a wren, a robin, and a varied thrush while out walking today. I also heard an owl, and saw a plane flying over.
