I haven’t seen a “ladies night” on offer in quite a few years. Now, they call it “happy hour” which avoids lawsuits from peeved guys and has a very similar effect.

Well at least you know what you’re letting yourself in for. They wouldn’t have too many customers, I’m guessing.

I’ve never had that problem. If I’ve left my watch at home, most ladies who do have a watch will tell me what time it is.

That’s pretty much every night at most bars, isn’t it?

Only a few days until quite a number of well heeled suburban ladies ‘round here will be heavin’ green beer on their expensive shoes while hanging onto a lamppost at about 11:15 am. Oh so chic but junior lawyers and rich college kids will take what they can get. And coronavirus will always spread faster than common sense but not as fast as drunk suburban floozies.

I never had a problem finding my way home from a bar. I was always told where to go.

So I never seem to have figured out what ‘Ladies Night’ really meant. Ladies Only? Ladies get better prices? There will be Ladies on site? No men allowed? I just figured it was all of the above and went to a movie. Alone.

The eternal hope of guys that they are both drunk enough not to notice each other’s lack of sex appeal.

The sign can be taken several ways:

“LADIES who won’t give you the time of day NITE”

    1. It’s ladies’ night, guys, so don’t get your hopes up. They’re busy.

    2. Ladies, if you won’t give the time… good NITE (leave).

    3. Ladies’ night exclusively for those ladies who won’t give you the time of day.

Ya gotta be careful of signs – they are often misleading.

Last time I went to Ladies Night, there were no Ladies present.

Luckily, the Women who showed up were a Lot of Fun.
