uh-oh… THAT arc

I remember this arc, and it’s a doozy!

Paige, I know you’re not a mother, but even you should know that this is a bad idea.

Just guessing, but this will NOT end well.

Notice the only word the child repeated exactly correct was the cuss word?

If I were a parent, I would prohibit my children from watching the evening news. I certainly would not want them emulating the politicians.

These days, the same content is on Reddit for kids’ reading pleasure and education.

I’m pretty sure the kid is literally saying “beep,” since curses on daytime television are bleeped out. Though it’s still suspicious for a toddler to cry out “beep” in the middle of an insult tirade.

Once, home with the flu, I turned on “Jerzy Spaniel.” Had to turn it off. It was too much in my weakened condition.

So the kid is repeating beeps?

By implication, a demonstration of why one doesn’t use strong words of language around little kids. It doesn’t do them any harm (some seem to think it “corrupts” their “innocence” or permanently harms the pink mush they use for brains); the real problem is that they haven’t developed social filters, and will come out with them in embarrassing situations. And, in my opinion, embarrassment is the strongest human emotion, something to be avoided at all costs.
