I remember a old cartoon about a husband and wife in a plant-filled room. The wife shrieks, and the husband says, “If you’re going to live in a jungle, you’ve got to expect snakes.”
Why try to stop her, if she’s able to keep them vibrant and healthy?
During the Victorian era, the wealthy were often envied when affluent enough to construct conservatories in their private residences — a luxury later made more widely accessible through the introduction of the add-on solarium.
This is a real thing. Our house’s previous owner had some sort of potted plant habit and even left what felt like a hundred plants on the patio and the shed after she moved out. If she had only put that energy into maintenance…..

It’s great that the cat and the dog are in on it too.

It’s a jungle in there.

I would have thought the dog would be happy with so much plant to be watered.

I can’t imagine the cat objecting to having all those plants around. Of course, a lot of them would be knocked over and partly eaten.

I dated a girl once whose mother was seriously into plants. I’d have to bring a machete just to make it from the living room to the bathroom.

As a professional botanist, I see no problem here.

So someone is obsessed with reducing carbon-dioxide levels by having lots of plants – and you think she needs an intervention?
