I finally got back to read all the toilet Paper Movies, I’m still laughing!
Ok here is today’s:
Below is a list of foods, which ones would never pass your lips?
Asparagus
Artichoke
Fried liver
Candy corn
Blood sausage
Canned Mandarin Oranges
Marzipan
Fruitcake
Vienna Sausages
Rocky Mountain Oysters
Snails
Maraschino Cherries
Miracle Whip
Liverwurst
Black Jelly Beans
Persimmons
Raw oysters
Curry
Snails, blood sausage, persimmons and Mandarin oranges are mine. A coworker used to bring in Rocky Mountain Oysters, surprisingly they are delicious breaded and fried!
National Cheesesteak Day. I’ll celebrate by eating a piece of cheese*cake* instead!
National Chocolate Covered Raisins Day. I love chocolate covered raisins! But I don’t have any in the house right now. But I do have both raisins and chocolate, so maybe I could improvise or make my own?
This is also my 15-year anniversary working at Walmart!
We got some shocking news at work yesterday. One of our former co-workers has died. We were not given details yet, but it appears she died a couple days or so ago. She was quite young (we think she was about 34) but she was in poor health recently. I heard she had a problem with her lungs. And she was quite obese – maybe she had a heart attack? And due to the coronavirus thing, there can’t be any kind of funeral service or visitation for her yet. While Missy and I were not real close friends – we didn’t hang out together or anything – I did like her and considered part of my Walmart family. She had several birds which she loved dearly. But aside from a sister, she did not have a close relationship with other family members. We don’t even know anything about other family members.
No, there is no reason to believe she died of coronavirus. From what little we heard, she collapsed at home and I believe they said she died before first responders got to her. I hope to hear more details when I go to work on Wednesday but so far, her family has not been forthcoming with details. Rest in peace, Missy.
1. Problems working at home #18: New co-worker started today and I can see things going badly. Doesn’t observe social distancing, never brews up, won’t stop talking when I’m on the phone. Think she might have a thing for me as well.

Well, it’s official. West Virginia has joined the states that are quarantining their residents in their homes and shutting down businesses. It doesn’t really affect me since I am retired. I only go out to purchase food. The local Kroger’s announced that they will be open from 7 am to 8 am only for us old guys before the shelves are picked clean by panic buyers.
I hope all of you stay safe and sane during this “crisis”. Remember the CDC estimates that up to 710,000 Americans got the flu since this time last year and up to 59,000 Americans died from the flu. Worldwide, an estimated 300,000 to 650,000 people die from flu each year. There have been only 33,400 cases of Covid-19 in the US with 400 death as of Monday and yet our economy has collapsed and everybody is hiding in their homes.
Typical of Chesney. (Or any cat, for that matter.) On another note, saw some robins, some juncos, and a sparrow while out walking today. I also heard a raven, a chickadee, and a Stellar’s Jay.
I always thought there should be a cat version of “His Master’s Voice” with a sleeping cat, only going so far as to open one eye upon hearing “His Mistress’ Voice”.
