I never much grew up knowing my second cousins. Some of my first cousins and first cousins once removed, yes, but never second cousins. Well, when I say “first cousins once removed”, I mean my cousins’ children and not my grandparents’ nieces/nephews.
I’ll also add I knew a companionship of missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who their own third cousins and they grew up knowing each other.
Is he even sure that she is a relative at all? How did she even hear about the birth of April, so quickly, if she is such a distant relative? Enquiring minds need to know! ☺
My mother said “When you walk into his room you’d puke but you’d never notice the difference” My aunt said the same thing about her daughter’s room. When she grew up you could eat off the floor in any room in her house, and I wasn’t far behind (according to my mother).
John – take care of business. No one in your family really wants to put up with her anymore. If you feel bad about kicking her out, go buy her a one way ticket to anywhere in Canada she wants to go and the plane or bus leaves tomorrow. Or go buy her a motel room for a week if you want to be really nice.
Speaking of being able to eat off the floor, I had a MIL who was (even in later life by her own admission) completely obsessed with a clean house, to the point where her grandkids didn’t want to visit her. Hubby had told me that in his youth, “our floor was so clean you could eat off of it.” I replied, “Our house was kind of messy (9 kids), but my mother let us eat at the table.” (He was not really amused, but he still understood.)

I will be so glad when this story arc is over. I don’t find these Fiona strips funny or entertaining.

“Once removed”? So, basically, she is someone who someone you are related to is related to. I think that was what my Mom called a shirttail relation.

Get a DNA test to see if you are related at all.

What is this once removed business when referring to distant relatives? There has to be a reason they were removed…

We can only hope she can be twice removed.

Remove her to Henderson Island, the most polluted island on earth. She’d fit right in.

I think Fiona is a scam artist; not related at all.

I tried looking on the regular fbofw site for Spoiler alerts to find out if/when Fiona will be leaving soon. No luck. :p

April had so much gas last night the Pattersons’ house should have blasted off. They should find themselves on the Moon tomorrow morning.
