I can hardly imagine (no recollection of me doing that to my own mother though).

Been there. Although the size difference between Elly’s boobs is an exaggeration but it is true.

The first time this happened to a good friend, she said, ’I’ve gone from Mummy to Moooommy.’

The one time she didn’t want the baby to go to sleep.

For $500, what’s the word analogous to “ambidextrous” that refers to feeding equally well on either side? (Don’t know but wish I did!)

I had a baby like that. He would not nurse on my right side no matter what I tried. Eventually, the milk dried up there, so I was always lop-sided. LOL (I can laugh about it now, but wasn’t laughing at the time.)

I was expected to do a comic strip that would expose the realities of family life. “Tell it like it is” from a woman’s point of view. Sometimes the truth hurts.

we kept a spoon in the fridge. when the kid started to doze, we touched her leg with the spoon. that woke her up!

That’s what the pump is for – safe some for later, helps mom feel better, and dad can feed the baby at night so mom can get some rest.

Nope ! ! !! ! Ain’t gonna go there. Did it in real life about 53 years ago and learned my lesson ! ! ! !

It’s been many years, but I remember this happening, especially with the first.

Ha. I never thought of that. Though, in truth, most of the time I forget mammaries have a function. Bad on me.

saw where there shouldn’t be a blanket or a stuffed toy in a baby’s crib when they are in it because of the chance of suffocation.

Your own fault for not switching sides frequently.

This never happened to me. Milk would squirt out the other nipple and I used a towel to absorb it.

That’s what husbands are for.

All she needs is get April on the other one then she would become Canada’s greatest country singer…Elly Parton!

Dad could always finish up

There were 5 of us. Mom had a sure fire plan for feeding. We’d nurse on one side, then she’d change our diaper (causing us to wake up), then finish nursing us on the other side.

I remember this strip from the first run through.
