To me, that last line is said in W.C. Fields’ voice, and it’s: “Go away, kid, you bother me.”

It’s always sad when you miss a bargain. There will certainly be other possibilities in the future. But they will never be the same.

My jacket’s gonna be cut and slim and checked

Maybe a touch of seersucker, with an open neck

I ride a G.S. scooter with my hair cut neat

I wear my wartime coat in the wind and sleet…

Ah, those early years… so many firsts, so sweet and so much to savor. I wouldn’t want to relive those years, but I wouldn’t mind visiting a few firsts again.

I could understand the manager getting upset if they were driving away customers…

But driving away custom?

How would that hurt his business?

A motorbike that you need a dustpan and brush to gather up and take home is probably not worth £90.
