Apparently Mildred was quite taken with her stolen car (or it was quite taken by her), because she’s currently driving the electric version, a Nissan Leaf, even in the same light blue.

Jack is much too delicate for Mildred.

Sometimes the dangerous nutters are fun to date

This “dangerous nutter” strip is one of my favorite strips in the whole series. Mildred is who she is, and she makes no apologies for it.

Jack, I’m not sure any of the gals in your life aren’t dangerous nutters at least a little, so you just might have to compromise here.

Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don’t.

Most boys that age couldn’t care less of a girl is a dangerous nutter. Safety is not priority one.

Mildred is a stable genius compared to Lottie.

Yes the most stable of the bunch. I wish her friends wouldn’t call her Mildew. She looks pretty fresh to me.

Has Mildred done anything stupid like fall for the lead singer of a boy band and go schizophrenic when he turns on her? No. Has she ever been kicked off the swim team for gouging a girls eyes out? No. Has she ever set any buildings on fire? No. Considering the other girls in her group I would consider her a safe bet.

Yes, and? This is pretty much the first thing we learn about Mildred since her introduction in the comic.

Mildred is SO great.

Yes, Jack could do a whole lot worse. Considering Mildred already knows that Jack is easily excited by her, she has been easy on him about it.

Most dangerous carjackers use a gun. Considering Mildred was trying to save her friend from being murdered I think I’ll let her slide on that carjacking thing. And why didn’t anyone call the police?

When you’re young, Mildreds are alluring. But the screaming, threats, and stalking that come later, not so much.
