Interesting character, Sharcane. Lots to learn about him.

I saw a silly old movie one time in which a locksmith was put in prison. The point was that he only stayed because he was an upstanding citizen (framed, I believe) but would unlock his door when needed to go help any other inmate. Even if they put Sharcane back in prison, his presence will remain voluntary.
I’m with everyone…..very confused right now, can’t wait to see how this plays out. Do have to wonder about what the character in the last panel says though, “….she owned the place”? Does that mean she is no longer with us, or she has sold the place?
I’m thinking Lynn Chang is not happy with Sharcane for putting their son up for adoption, especially to an extremely wealthy couple with no strings attached, so she arranged to set fire to the prison, unaware that Sharcane, anticipating that Lynn was not happy with his decision, had already made his escape.
This is an interesting turn of events. Sharcane never struck me as an actual bad guy. I mean yeah he was stealing cars but he actually cared about his son and never really hurt anyone on purpose. I think the reason he stole cars was because he couldn’t get a regular job because Kenny and he were hiding from Lynn. Kenny is unaware of this. When Sharcane was captured she knew where he was and he knew she was going to try to get him which is why he busted out. It’s now time for Kenny to know about his mother and why his dad kept it a secret from him and was always on the run. That’s why he finally let him know who she is. Why Lynn is after them I can’t guess but I have a feeling that she’s mob boss level bad guy.

Chang must be brought to justice.

I thought Sharcane had escaped and was a fugitive (https://www.gocomics.com/jumpstart/2020/05/12?ct=v&cti=2208697)…

Sharcane and Lynn Chang. Two very mysterious characters

I suspect it’s some sort of elaborate Insurance scam.

This is confusing since Sharcane escaped prison a couple weeks ago in the dailies and the cops only learned about it from the newspaper.

Here I thought there was going to be an analogy to how Covid-19 is affecting prisons. But that would go into an editorial cartoon, I suppose.

I’m going to start needing a family tree/character breakdown to keep track any more. :-D hint, hint

This fire is happening after the Sharcane escape. Sharcane is showing up at the prison to continue serving his sentence. So what did he do while out?

Don’t know whether to admire Sharcane or be scared of him.

How did Lynn Chang become wealthy enough to buy or build a prison?
